PG&E to Pay $22M in Connection With the 2022 Mosquito Fire

Pacific Gas and Electric Company will pay $22 million in connection with the 2022 Mosquito Fire in Placer County under a settlement approved by the California Public Utilities Commission.
The settlement is between the CPUC’s Safety and Enforcement Division and PG&E.
Under the agreement, PG&E will pay a $21 million penalty to the state’s General Fund using shareholder funds and $1 million for an independent third-party review of the company’s Transmission Centralized Inspection Review Team operations.
