Popular Tex-Mex Chain, Abuelo’s, Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

A popular restaurant chain has filed for bankruptcy. Texas-based Mexican concept Abuelo’s has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy citing sales declines, rising costs, staffing challenges and changing consumer preferences, reports The Restaurant Business.

According to The Restaurant Business, Abuelo’s is owned by Lubbock-based Food Concepts International, which also filed for bankruptcy.
