Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls Off Second Effort to Impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas

The House on Thursday put off a vote on an effort to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene pulled her resolution.

Greene said she did so after she received assurances from Speaker Mike Johnson that Republicans will “move forward with impeaching Mayorkas.”

“We will be moving my articles of impeachment through the Homeland committee,” Green told reporters. “Once we vote it out of committee, we will take it to the floor.”
