The Father of a Teen Who Died in a 2017 Traffic Collision Settles With LA County For $6.5 Million

The Los Angeles County Claims Board recommended this week that the Board of Supervisors issue Jessie Franklin Esphorst the settlement to resolve his lawsuit against the county. He is the father of South High School shortstop Jesse Eric Esphorst, who was killed in the March 7, 2017, collision near the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Crest Road.
