Suspect Charged with Strangling and Robbing Man at Gunpoint

A suspect accused of robbing a man at gunpoint outside his South Memphis home two months ago is now behind bars. Cordell Lucas, 25, is charged with aggravated robbery. He is held in jail on a $78,000 bond.

The man told police that when he went outside to check his mailbox, a man approached him and grabbed him by his neck while applying pressure. This caused the man to stop breathing normally, police say.
