Tragedy Strikes New Orleans Parade: 2 Dead, 11 Injured in Shootings

Two people were killed and 11 others were injured in two shootings during a popular New Orleans second-line parade on Sunday, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

“We had two different incidents. There were two shootings 45 minutes apart from one another,” New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said at a news conference Monday. “We are actively working this case. We do have leads, and we will find the perpetrators. They will be held accountable.”
