U.S. Block on Nippon Steel Deal Called ‘Unjust Political Interference’ by Japanese Prime Minister

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said on Monday the decision by a United States government review board and then-President Joe Biden to block Nippon Steel’s acquisition of U.S. Steel was “unjust political interference.”
