Veteran Injured in Motorcycle Crash Awarded $10.6 Million Verdict

A Volusia County motorcycle rider seriously injured when a car turned in front of his Harley-Davidson in Daytona Beach Shores was awarded a $10.6 million verdict by a jury after rejecting a settlement offer for a fraction of that amount, according to a press release from Morgan & Morgan.
William Patrick Duffey was riding his Harley-Davidson north on State Road A1A on March 31, 2022, as Janet Darlene Rogier, who was visiting from Michigan, was driving her car in the opposite direction. Rogier did not yield to the motorcycle and turned left into Duffey’s path, the release stated.
