Virginia Man Accused of Planting Pipe Bombs on Jan. 6th Pleads Not Guilty

A Virginia man accused of planting bombs outside the Democratic and Republican party headquarters ahead of the Jan. 6 insurrection pleaded not guilty Friday to related charges.
Brian Cole Jr. faces two federal criminal charges of transporting and attempting to damage property with explosives, the latter of which carries a potential maximum 20-year sentence. Cole remained mostly expressionless throughout the brief arraignment proceeding.
