Washington State AG Secures a $40.6 Million Settlement in a Price-Fixing Lawsuit Against Chicken, Tuna Corporations

More than 400,000 Washington households will be receiving a one time one-time payment as a result of a lawsuit against tuna and chicken producer.

Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced on Wednesday, Dec. 6 that his office will begin mailing out checks to Washington households as a result of his successful antitrust lawsuits against large chicken and tuna corporations that engaged in price-fixing.

Ferguson’s office is providing $40.6 million in total financial restitution to households whose income is at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty level. Approximately 402,200 households will receive checks.
