Woman Hit by Rubber Bullet Gets $2 Million Settlement
LaToya Ratlieff, an activist struck by a police officer’s rubber bullet in 2020, has won a nearly $2 million settlement from Fort Lauderdale.
Ratlieff was injured on May 31, 2020, during a protest against police brutality, one of many held across the country after a police officer knelt on the neck of George Floyd in Minneapolis for more than nine minutes, killing him.
