Woman Receives $1.75 Million After a Slip-and-Fall at a New Jersey Dollar Tree

Dollar Tree has settled a lawsuit by paying $1.75 million to a Bound Brook woman who claimed she was severely injured from slipping and falling on eggs that had broken on the floor of the store, the woman’s attorney said.

The doctor of the woman, 69-year-old Peggy Brown, said she required a surgical procedure to remove the damaged part of a disk in her spine as a result of the accidental fall, according a release from her attorney Michael Heck of Epstein Ostrove, LLC in Edison.

The incident occurred at a Dollar Tree store in East Brunswick on Jan. 4, 2019, Heck told NJ Advance Media.
