Ziploc Faces Class Action Suit Alleging Harmful Levels of Microplastics Released When Used as Directed

A California woman has filed a class action lawsuit against consumer goods giant S.C. Johnson & Son, alleging that Ziploc brand storage bags marketed as “microwave safe” and “suitable for freezer use” release harmful levels of microplastics when used as directed.
The complaint was filed by Linda Cheslow in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on April 25.
