49-Year-Old Family-Owned Napa Winery, Signorello Estate, Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Signorello Estate hopes to sell its 49-year-old family-owned Napa winery to Canadian investors for as much as $20 million, a fraction of the more than $36 million in debt it is now facing.

Signorello Estate owner Raymond Signorello Jr. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday after he said that the winery owes its lender, American AgCredit, more than $36 million, according to bankruptcy filings reviewed by SFGATE.
