A Copyright Clampdown Could End Elvis Themed Las Vegas Weddings
Elvis themed weddings in Las Vegas could become a thing of the past after the company that controls the name and image of ‘The King’ clamped down on chapels using his likeness during their ceremonies.
Authentic Brands Group sent cease-and-desist letters in early May to multiple chapels, which are expected to be compliant by now, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
With Elvis so closely tied to the Las Vegas wedding industry, some say the move could decimate their businesses.
