A Former NFL Player Faces Assault Charges

Former National Football League safety Patrick Chung was charged Tuesday with assault and battery on a family or household member, the Associated Press reported.
Chung, who won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots before retiring earlier this year, was arrested on Monday after allegedly pushing a woman to the ground outside of her home, slapping her in the face, and breaking her phone.
Chung appeared for arraignment in a Massachusetts court. He was accompanied by his fiancée and parents.
