A Texas Premises Liability Case Results in a $3.8 Million Verdict

The case involved negligence in the delivery of property management services by CBRE, Inc. The plaintiff, a branch bank manager, informed the facilities manager of a dangerous door on multiple occasions but did nothing in response. To make matters worse, he did not inform the plaintiff that he was taking no action, but instead reassured her he was working on it.
Approximately one year after the first complaint, the plaintiff’s fingertip was severed when the heavy swinging door caught her left hand. She later developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in her left hand, and ultimately became disabled from her work.
The Plaintiff was represented by Bruce David Beach of Winckler & Harvey, LLP.
