BKV Completes Barnett Shale Acquisition Adding Approximately 117,000 Net Acres to Its Portfolio

BKV Corp. has completed its previously announced acquisition of Barnett shale upstream, midstream and carbon capture assets, adding more than 65 MMcfe/d of production and approximately 117,000 net acres to its Texas portfolio.

The transaction closed Sept. 15 following the satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Financial terms were not disclosed. BKV funded the acquisition with cash on hand and borrowings under its revolving credit facility.
