Britney Spears’ Attorney Accuses Her Father of Extortion
The attorney representing Britney Spears in her conservatorship case accused her father Jamie Spears of extorting the pop star for $2 million in exchange for stepping down as her conservator.
In court documents filed this week, Mathew Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor who now represents the pop singer, said Jamie Spears had made multiple requests for payment for numerous reasons, including continuing “to do my best to keep current regarding the music, advertising and entertainment business.”
Earlier this month, Jamie Spears agreed to step down as conservator of his daughter after nearly 13 years.
