Chick-fil-a Franchise Sued by Former Employee Claiming Failure to Accommodate Religious Belief in a Saturday Sabbath

An Austin Chick-fil-a franchise was sued by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on behalf of a former employee who claims her employer failed to accommodate her religious belief in a Saturday Sabbath (day of rest).
The lawsuit comes as part of the Trump administration’s “Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias.” But it’s also part of a decades-long legal battle related to religious accomodations.
