Chick-fil-A Is Giving Out $29 Payments as Part of a $4.4 Million Lawsuit Settlement
Chick-fil-A may owe you a $29 as part of a $4.4 million lawsuit settlement, but time is running out to file your claim.
In Oct. 2023, Chick-fil-A agreed to pay $4.4 million to settle a lawsuit with customers who accused the fast food restaurant chain of inflating menu prices for delivery orders. The complaint claimed Chick-fil-A advertised low-cost food delivery before increasing product prices for delivery orders only, compared to in-store menu prices. The settlement, which was first reported by TopClassActions.com, includes a $1.45 million cash fund and $2.95 million gift card fund. Chick-fil-A did not admit guilt in the settlement, but agreed to pay $29.95 in either gift card or cash to eligible customers.
Customers eligible to file a complaint are those who made a Chick-fil-A delivery order through the company’s app or website between Nov. 1, 2019, and April 30, 2021, in the states of California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, or New York, according to the settlement agreement. Those who meet eligibility requirements were notified directly by an email from the settlement administrator, and can file their claim online or by printing and mailing the claim form.
