Eight More Women Join a Discrimination Lawsuit Against Playstation

Following a recent lawsuit in November of 2021, eight more women are alleging sexism and gender discrimination at PlayStation. These claims come on the day of PlayStation’s State of Play presentation.
The lawsuit began in November 2021, when an IT Security Analyst employee came forward, alleging that they had been overlooked and ignored by leads due to gender discrimination. After the employee was terminated, that employee filed suit alleging that they were wrongfully terminated because they spoke out about the work environment. Sony responded to the suit, claiming that the employee was being terminated due to a shutdown of a department. The PlayStation producer also moved to have the lawsuit dismissed due to a lack of proof that any policy was violated during the firing.
