Ex-Fire Chief Sues City of Cincinnati, Ohio for Wrongful Termination

Former Cincinnati fire chief Michael Washington has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the city, city manager and mayor after his firing.

City Manager Sheryl Long announced last month that Washington was fired, and a formal termination process is underway.

Long cited a concerning workplace culture that is unwelcoming toward women. Long said the city wants to create a sustainable workplace culture and believes Washington is not capable of implementing that kind of change.
