Family Awarded $4 Million in a Malpractice Lawsuit Against a Medical Center in Arizona

A family has been awarded $4 million by a jury in connection with a malpractice suit against Banner University Medical Center.

The Mercaldo Law Firm said a sponge was left in a patient’s abdomen during a c-section at the hospital.

Mercaldo said it “led to severe complications and prolonged suffering for the woman.
