Florida Jury Awards Wife $20 Million in Medical Malpractice Death of Her Husband

After four hours of deliberation, a Palm Beach County jury awarded $20 million to the wife and child of a man who died after going to an emergency room for acute pancreatitis.

Jurors awarded the verdict against Dr. Joshua Glauser and his practice, agreeing the doctor should have better monitored the patient while giving him large doses of the powerful narcotic painkiller Dilaudid.

Marzena Hamby said the verdict came as closure after three years, but she still remembers the horrors of what happened to her husband, Joshua Hamby, vividly.
