Spirit Halloween Recalls Light Fixtures Due to Potential Burn Hazard
Spirit Halloween has issued a black light recall of more than 12,000 fixtures after receiving multiple reports of bulbs popping and catching fire, with one customer reporting a burn injury.
The recall was posted June 9 on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
It applies to about 12,400 Spirit Halloween 48-inch black light fixtures and bulbs.
“The bulb in the fixture can pop, flash and overheat, posing fire and burn hazards,” the recall states.
The recall comes after the firm received seven reports of bulbs popping, flashing and catching on fire or smoking, including one mild burn injury.
