Starbucks Settles DEI Lawsuit for $1 Million and Denies Wrongdoing

A lawsuit filed against Starbucks accusing the corporation of engaging in employment practices that violated the Civil Rights Act of 1992 has been resolved.

The lawsuit alleged that the company violated the act through race and sex based goals, quotas, and preferences.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the negotiated resolution on Thursday, stating that, under the agreement, Starbucks has committed to complying with the Florida Civil Rights Act in its entirety.
