The Family of a Woman Who Died in a Lamborghini Crash Reaches an $18 Million Insurance Settlement
The family of a Hawthorne woman, killed when she was broadsided by a Lamborghini driven by a teenager during her drive home from work, settled with insurance companies for $18.85 million, attorneys representing the family announced Wednesday, April 27.
Monique Munoz was killed Feb. 17, 2021, at the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Overland Avenue when her car was struck by the Lamborghini, which was driven by 17-year-old Brenden Khuri. She was headed home from work at UCLA Health in Los Angeles.
The teen is the son of millionaire James Khuri, who owns several real estate firms, manufacturing companies and an e-commerce business.
