Broncos Player Alleges Negligence in Lawsuit Against NFL, ESPN After ACL Tear

Denver Broncos football player Aaron Patrick filed a lawsuit against the National Football League (NFL), the Los Angeles Chargers and ESPN, among others, after the outside linebacker suffered a torn ACL during a game last month. 

Patrick suffered the season-ending injury after colliding with an NFL employee and stepping on sideline mats while playing in a Monday Night Football game at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Oct. 17, Sports Illustrated reports. 

The special teams player reportedly accuses SoFi Stadium and the Chargers, among others, of premises liability and negligence, while also accusing, among others, the NFL, ESPN and the NFL employee he collided with of negligence.
