Worker That Sustained Burns on Over 60% of His Body Due to Workplace Negligence is Award $28 Million
A man who sustained burns covering 60% of his body in a workplace accident has settled his suit in a New Jersey court for $28 million. Carlos Gomez was working on the electrical system at an office building in Newark when an explosion caused him to burst into flames from his knees to his head, the suit said. Gomez was left severely injured and disfigured and has undergone more than 177 surgeries, skin grafts and laser procedures since the explosion, according to his suit.
