Zendesk Will No Longer Pursue Its Acquisition of SurveyMonkey

Zendesk’s billion-dollar bid to buy Momentive, the company behind the popular SurveyMonkey tool, was rejected by its own shareholders.

The $4.1 billion deal came just days after the CRM behemoth rejected a $16 billion offer from a group of private equity firms.

“While we were excited by the potential of this transaction to transform the customer experience and create stockholder value,” said Zendesk CEO Mikkel Svanek, “we respect and appreciate the perspectives of our stockholders.”
