$18.5 Million Settlement Reached After Child Sustained Severe Burns at Summer Camp

Brian Malloy, of The Brandi Law Firm, represented the plaintiff, a minor, that was enrolled in a summer camp sponsored by the City of Napa. One of the classes at the camp was a chemistry class put on by Friends of Scientopia, Inc. During one of the experiments, an instructor caused a bottle of isopropyl alcohol to result in a flame jet which impacted and then burned Plaintiff. Plaintiff received significant burns on his body. Following the accident, the city made several changes to its contractor programs.

 This resulted in a $18,500,000 settlement.
