Assistant Superintendent in Michigan Sues Over Allegedly Being Fired for Whistleblowing

A second Kalamazoo Public Schools employee has filed a lawsuit alleging they were fired for whistleblowing.

Jim English, assistant superintendent of finance and operations, was fired Dec. 28, by the Kalamazoo Public Schools Board of Education. He filed a lawsuit March 28 in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court, alleging he was retaliated against after reporting multiple issues.

He is suing the KPS board, interim Superintendent Cindy Green, President TiAnna Harrison, Vice President Jermaine Jackson, Treasurer Tandy Moore, former trustee Ken Greschak and trustees Patti Sholler-Barber, Jennie Hill and Megan Maddock.
