Fry, Fry, Knight, & Looper Attorney Helps Mother Overturn Termination of Parental Rights Decision

Dana Ranae Looper, of Fry, Fry, Knight, & Looper, helped a mother that had her parental rights terminated by a Tennessee court get the decision overturned. In this parental rights termination case, the trial court rules that DCS proved five grounds for terminating the mother’s parental rights to her two children. The trial court also found that termination of the mother’s rights was in the children’s best interests. The Court of Appeals reversed the trial court’s rulings as to mental incompetence and abandonment by failure to support and reversed the trial court’s ruling that the termination of the mother’s rights is in the children’s best interests.
