Rideshare Driver Arrested After Allegedly Kidnapping a Woman
A rideshare driver has been arrested after he allegedly trapped a woman inside his vehicle in Brighton on Thursday night, according to the Boston Police Department.
Kamal Essalak, 47, of Acton, was arrested by Acton Police on Saturday. He was wanted on a warrant out of Boston Municipal Court on a charge of kidnapping from Thursday night.
During that Thursday incident, a woman said she had gotten into Essalak’s rideshare vehicle at about 8:32 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston.
When she got in, she noted that the driver was “behaving strangely” and requested to be let out, she told police.
