Social Security Administration Released $901 Million to Supplemental Security Income Recipients

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has released more than $900 million in money owed to disability beneficiaries.

According to a blog post published by the government agency on July 16, the SSA has released $901 million in money owed to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients as of June 2024. SSI is a benefit for those eitherĀ aged over 65, or with a qualifying disability or who are blind, and have very-low-to-no income.
