Texas AG Secures $13M Settlement With Walmart to Ensure Delivery Drivers Are Provided Fair Compensation

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton secured a settlement of over $13 million with Walmart to ensure the company provides its delivery drivers with fair compensation.

In a press release, Paxton’s office announced the new settlement will provide employees in the Spark Driver program with transparent and accurate compensation.

According to the release, previous investigations revealed Walmart had made false guarantees to drivers regarding their pay and pre-tips. Driver pay was misrepresented after they had accepted offers, noticing their base pay and customer tips were altered.
